If you’re so much of a wine aficionado that pictures alone will hold you over until the next cocktail party, Eva Longoria’s Instagram page is the place for you. The actress and businesswoman loves wine so much that she designs wine-themed T-shirts. At her first New York Fashion Week show for her line, the Eva Longoria Collection, which launches this week, the self-described “wino” shared with Vanity Fair her tips for the perfect Instagram-able wine moments.
“Candlelight,” Longoria said, almost urgently. “You need to always have candlelight with your glass of wine so you can see the color of the wine.”
This is a woman who knows her way around a bottle or glass of red or white. She’s taken photos of wine on the dinner table (with the appropriate caption “Wine o’clock”), photos with wine and a romantic backdrop, and then for kicks, just a glass of wine, basking in front of the sunset.
Her new line, which is available online, is more inspired by her workday life than a wine-fueled wind-down.
As a producer, actress, and director, Longoria was tired of looking less than professional when she got to set for early morning calls. So, she developed an athleisure line that doesn’t “feel tweeny” but can be worn in a professional setting—he describes it as “sporty, chic athleisure.”
“As a boss lady, I still want to look good and cute and functional,” she said. “I was like, ‘I need something for my set life.”
Hand this boss lady a glass of wine, and she’s good to go.
