It can feel around this time of year like everyone on your Instagram feed is currently on vacation, which means you may have just scrolled past a post by Diane von Furstenberg this past weekend featuring a group of six sun-kissed attractive faces on a boat somewhere. “Oh, are these my old roommate’s fancy hedge-fund friends?” you might have thought to yourself. But no, upon scrolling back up, you realized that this was not a shot of your old roommate’s friends but rather a shot of Diane von Furstenberg’s Tahiti vacation, and the people in the photo are a perhaps unexpected assortment: Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk (who recently had their first child), Anderson Cooper and partner Benjamin Maisani, and dear In the Limelight pal Allison Williams and husband Ricky Van Veen. What a group!
On this week’s episode of Vanity Fair’s pop culture podcast, hosts Josh Duboff and Julie Miller break down both the photograph and their thoughts on the vacation itself (which also included Andy Cohen!). Additionally, Josh and Julie talk about Prince Harry’s latest outing, which involved . . . live music?!!? (It also did not involve Meghan Markle, somewhat notably.) The pair check in on a new Leonardo DiCaprio report, as well, related to the Malibu event at which they spotted him the week before.
So find yourself a friend with a Tahiti connection and book a trip (so easy and simple!), pre-game with some songs by Prince Harry’s apparent band of choice The Killers, and then listen to this week’s In the Limelight episode. Afterward, feel free to share your thoughts, questions, and ideas with In the Limelight on Twitter and Instagram. If you write a review on iTunes, you might just get your own Live Nation white T-shirt from us in the mail.
