Donald Trump’s childhood home in Jamaica Estates, Queens, may not be as spacious or opulent as the dozens of other properties that bear his name (and in which he’d usually rather stay than the White House), but it’s now a lot more accessible than Mar-a-Lago. The home has been listed by its new owner on Airbnb for $725 a night. You and up to 19 other people can stay in the Tudor-style, five-bedroom home, which has amenities such as 15 beds, two sofa beds, a full kitchen, cable television, and wireless Internet. Perhaps most cheekily—or, let’s be real, frighteningly—it also comes with a cardboard cut-out of President Trump in the living room to watch your every move.
“Not much has been changed since the Trumps lived here, the kitchen is original and the opulent furnishings represent the style and affluence in which the Trumps would have lived. This is a unique and special opportunity to stay in the home of a sitting president,” the Airbnb listing reads. “The Trump Childhood home has space for a meeting or conference and is the perfect accommodation for a New York vacation . . . Its quiet, tree lined blocks make it a wonderful haven from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan.“
The entire property is available except for the owner’s room, which will be locked and off-limits. The listing also clarifies that neither the White House nor Donald Trump nor the Trump Organization is connected to the house in any way—unlike, say, the other properties from which Trump still profits. However, Newsday confirmed that the listing is indeed authentic, with one of the real-estate agents associated with the property commenting: “The operator of the Airbnb listing is someone I know and they contacted me to tell me that this is what their plan is.” As of now, there are plenty of open dates. Now’s your chance!
