Thrilled to announce that the Hotline is launching a new product …
Actually, check that. It’s more like an enhanced — ‘roided up, if you will — version of an old product: (greatly) expanded coverage of the Pac-12.
All the details will be explained the morning of the launch (Tuesday), but know this: My plan is to cover the Pac-12 in a way that no conference has been covered. Ever.
Essentially, it will be a Pac-12 vertical content site.
So, how is this new?
As many readers might be aware, my primary assignment for the past 10+ years has been to report on the Bay Area teams for the Mercury News.
Content about the Pac-12 writ large was produced and published on the College Hotline blog when time allowed.
Well, that equation has been flipped:
The entire conference is now my focus from early morning and high noon to dead-of-night.
You’re as likely to see content on Utah or Oregon, for instance, as you are on Cal or Stanford.
We’re even rebranding: The College Hotline is now the Pac-12 Hotline (unaffiliated with the conference!).
